Santo Domingo.- The leadership of the Modern Revolutionary Party (PRM) took advantage of a workshop aimed at the members of their executive direction to show an image of unity and compaction for the processes that the entity will have to face next year with the election of the party authorities and in the face of the 2028 election process.
In a press release disseminated by the PRMIt is said that they proved to be compacted towards the objective of maintaining power in 2028, “when carrying out a strategic workshop to align the actions and priorities of the party towards the next electoral stages and institutional strengthening.”
They indicated that this meeting reaffirmed the organization’s commitment to the defense of the government of President Luis Abinader and its foundational principles of transparency, efficiency, accountability and first people.
As evidence, the PRM sent a photograph in which the members of the Executive Directorate appear, headed by the President of the Republic Luis Abinader, Vice President Raquel Peña, former president Hipólito Mejía, former vice president Milagros Ortiz Bosch, the president of the PRM, José Ignacio Beicho, and his general secretary General Carolina Mejía.
The works that were carried out in the municipality of Jarabacoa began for 3 days.
According to the document, the workshop strengthened the unified vision of the PRM to face the country’s challenges and consolidate its government project.
“The modern revolutionary party is mature, reflective and committed to strengthening its political leadership and towards the bosom of society creating these spaces.”
They also added that decisions will be made with broad consultation and participation, prioritizing the legitimacy of public policies and citizenship confidence.
The party reported that it will convene an internal consultation to listen to the bases on various strategic aspects of the party, and society, with a view to enriching decision making and internal cohesion.
They reported that the election of candidates for elective positions in 2027 will be carried out by primaries, with a closed register, ensuring a democratically ordered and participatory process.
