The unprecedented edition of the program features the artist who was formed in Cacique de Ramos and comes to the production of the public canal to talk about an important subgenre of samba, Samba de Terreiro.

“The definition is as difficult as the samba itself. Improvisation is a mark of the samba de terreiro. It is a space that will add and socialize people. It will keep them united from a cultural point of view,” summarizes the bamba.
During the conversation, Marquinhos China deepens this reflection. “Generally, the plot of terreiro samba talks about the school (samba). Today I know why I am one of the old ones, but I was new and asked those who came before. The theme was this with the exaltation of the school itself, but also addressed disappointment and day to day,” comments the musician.
Professor of History, Justice Officer and Psychoanalyst, singer and composer Marquinho China is multifaceted. Criatic of the generation of the chief of Ramos that transformed samba, the artist had a musical journey in which he lived with personalities such as Zeca Pagodinho, Arlindo Cruz and Almir Guineto in the genesis of this new format of the genre. The nickname China has originated for over 40 years, still in the 1980s, given by Arlindo Cruz, because Marquinho closed his eyes when he laughed. The nickname caught and he incorporated the nickname into his stage name.
