The American president reported through Truth Social
Donald Trump’s administration reported that the US army made a new “lethal” kinetic attack against a vessel supposedly “affiliated with a terrorist organization” and confirmed the death of three alleged drug traffickers.
The American president reported through Truth Social that, “under my orders, the Secretary of War ordered a lethal kinetic attack against a ship in the area of responsibility of the southern command of the United States,” he said.
In this regard, Trump said that during the attack three alleged drug traffickers were eliminated and said that “intelligence” confirmed that the vessel trafficked illicit narcotics on a known route with the aim of reaching the United States.
With this attack, the United States adds four vessels awarded to drug trafficking that sink into the South Caribbean in the vicinity of the Venezuelan coast since August, when they increased the military presence in international waters justifying the need to “combat drug trafficking”.
Where did the boat come from?
Although the US authorities have confirmed that the boats of the last three attacks came from Venezuela, in this case Trump has not clarified the origin of the boat or the nationality of its crew.
The US president, as in the previous attacks, announced the destruction of the boat with a video without audio where there is a boat of blue tones in motion and then explodes before the impact of a projectile.
According to the data provided by the Republican, the South Command has destroyed three vessels awarded to drug trafficking and eliminated 17 alleged criminals, of which their identity is unknown, just as there is no detail of the drug quantities they allegedly transported.
This same Friday, the Venezuelan Defense Minister Vladimir Padrino López informed that the Venezuelan army made a “successful” military maneuver on the island of the Orchila, in Venezuelan waters of the Caribbean Sea, before the US deployment in the region that has caused tensions and that President Nicolás Maduro has branded as “a threat.”
