Fla fans president and 7 more are arrested for the death of Vasco

The arrests were made by the Capital Homicide Police Station (DHC). Against the detainees were served temporary arrest warrants for 30 days. One of the arrests was by flagrant.

Rodrigo Sant’Anna was killed on the day Vasco played against Botafogo – September 11 – at Nilton Santos Stadium, in Engenho de Dentro, in the north of Rio de Janeiro.

The fan was with other Vascai in the Oswaldo Cruz neighborhood, also in the North Zone, about seven kilometers from the stadium, when he was the target of an ambush by members of the fans.

According to the police station, the crime had “futile, abject and primitive” motivation with criminals organized to attack other fans. Also according to the investigators, they did not use Flamengo symbols, to make identification difficult.

THEVascaos were attacked with fireworks and at least four firearm shots, as witnesses reported. One of the shots hit Rodrigo. The criminals will also be responsible for the attempted murder of another fan.

The investigation also featured analysis of security cameras images, which demonstrated the participation of those involved.

Banned crowd

Flamengo’s young fans have a history of involvement with violence and banishment of the stadiums. The most recent was determined by the court last Tuesday (17).

The decision of the Special Court of the fan and major events removes the fans of stadiums and any sporting event for a period of two years.

To substantiate the judicial determination, information presented by the Battalion specializing in stadium policing (BEPE), of the Rio de Janeiro Military Police, who point out involvement of people with uniforms of organized fans in riots, theft, bus invasions and train stations and violence actions that occurred on August 31.

The new ban occurs a few months after another ban on ending. The TJF was prohibited from attending stadiums for a period of three years from September 2021for involvement in riots and violence, in January 2015, during the match for the State Championship, between Macaé and Flamengo; And in March 2015, moments before the match between Botafogo and Flamengo.

Infiltrated operation

Last Thursday, a Civil Police Operation arrested two people involved with organized fans.

The targets of the investigations used social networks to mark fights that ended with turmoil, theft and death.

The two arrests were in the act: one for confronting the police and one for illegal possession of a weapon.
