THE Brazil Communication Company (EBC) It has already started the biggest operation of its history to act as a host broadcaster of the 30th United Nations Conference on Climate Change (COP30), which will be held in Belém (PA) in November this year. The event will feature transmission and coverage nationally and internationally available and generated by a robust structure that includes over 300 professionals, modern technological apparatus and studios.

Our structure will allow the discussions held in Belém to reach Brazilians and foreign. Will be a milestone in the history of public and government communication, ”says the director-general of EBCBráulio Ribeiro.
The challenge for COP30 involves the generation, management and distribution of more than 42 simultaneous signals, integrating two plenary sessions (main events), two press conference rooms and a special event room. In total, 26 HDTV cameras will be used and about 120 PTZS cameras. Plenary will be transmitted in UHD 4K, the most advanced image quality standard available.
The signals of more than 36 parallel events and official meetings will also be received and processed, all centralized in a Master Control Room (MCR) specially designed by the technical teams of EBC for the conference. This center will function as the heart of the transmission, ensuring recording, distribution, quality control, stability and reliability for all generated content.
Another highlight is the internal IPTV system, which will feature more than 330 views, on televisions scattered throughout Blue Zone (main zone for official negotiations), and 15 channels transmitted simultaneously. This structure will allow participants to follow real -time debates and events of interest from a sophisticated TV channel management system that will also be available throughout COP30 web environment.
Still in Blue ZoneTV and radio studios will be assembled, with areas of 25m² and 16m², respectively, intended for the accredited press. Already in Green Zonearea with less restrictive access, an exclusive structure of approximately 100m² will be installed, consisting of a TV studio and a radio studio, dressing room, warehouse, meeting room and rest room. The space will be shared by the vehicles of EBC.
This protagonism of EBC It does not occur in isolation. The public company works in close partnership with bodies such as the Extraordinary Secretariat of COP30 (Secop), linked to the Civil House of the Presidency of the Republic; The Secretariat of Production and Disclosure of Audiovisual Content (Seaud), linked to the Secretariat of Social Communication of the Presidency of the Republic (Secom), as well as the Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MRE) and other government institutions.

This month, the EBC and the Paraense Broadcast Foundation (Funtelpa) formalized a new cooperation agreement that marks the expansion of the partnership between TV Cultura do Pará and National Public Communication Network (RNCP). The agreement provides joint actions for coverage of COP30. The proposal is to give protagonism to the Amazonian voices, with content produced by journalists in the region.
