The Portuguese State was the first of the country to install this Friday the state council for sovereignty and peace with the participation of authorities, leaders and representatives of all sectors that without distinguishing ideology, political colors or religion close ranks in defense of the homeland.
Producers, entrepreneurs, workers, priests, intellectuals, academics, students, merchants, cultivators and civil, military and religious authorities make up the instance, which is expected to replicate in all the municipalities of the region to call the meeting of the country, in the face of the attacks of the United States government.
“Nothing is more important than defending this homeland that we want so much,” said the deputy and member of the National Council for Sovereignty and Peace, Luis Eduardo Martínez, who along with his counterparts Alberto Alvarado and Vanessa Montero presided over the installation of the Council for sovereignty and peace, Portuguese chapter.
He said that under the leadership of the Primitive Governor Cedeño, the nascent instance will have the task of motivating the formation of the councils in all spaces of the regional territory and being “an example to follow for the rest of the federal entities.”

For its part, Montero said that it is a priority to consolidate the state council as a space for the debate and permanent dialogue, a space for reunification and “a fundamental tool to meet, to meet again and to exalt unity above our differences.”
“This is not a political act,” added Primitive Cedeño, specifying that all the Portuguese sectors “today we put on Venezuela’s suit” to make the world clear that Venezuelans are work and peace people. “Everyone here, the one who finances, the one who processes, the one who transports, the one who carries the diesel and we all want peace to continue producing,” he said.
