A total of 104 thousand 589 people are favored through the “Calle Justicia” program, this was reported by the Attorney General of the Republic, Tarek William Saab, during a social day “Visit your commune” in Pinto Salinas, El Recreo de Caracas parish; In previous activities, 1,645 citizens were attended and 63 complaints have been prosecuted, according to official public ministry data.
During the meeting, SAAB described the results of the program as a significant advance in institutional management. “That is an important milestone, which marks a before and after in the work of the Public Ministry. That had never been seen.” He added that the institution responds with planning, work and commitment to the Venezuelan people.
He also reported that during the day in the Amalivaca commune of Pinto Salinas, several officials were deployed, including nine general directors, 33 line directors and 30 prosecutors of the Metropolitan Area of Caracas. On this day, 112 people were favored, in activities that included medical attention, delivery of medicines, child recreation, assistance to older adults and veterinary care.
Formative sessions directed to justice judges were also developed, focused on the use of alternative means to resolve conflicts, the role of municipal prosecutors in criminal action, and the limits of their powers. Issues related to communal coexistence and the process of offenses were addressed. “It is very important that direct relationship that the Public Ministry has with the Judges of the Peace to resolve conflicts,” said the Attorney General.
The “Justice de Calle” program continues the deployment in communities of the country, with the aim of bringing the services of the judicial system to the population, promoting access to justice and strengthening the mechanisms of peaceful controversy resolution.
