The Secretary of Organization of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of Cuba (PCC), Roberto Morales Ojeda, who leads the official delegation of the Government of Cuba, which was received this Friday by the first national president, Nicolás Maduro and his wife, Cilia Flores, in the Miraflores Palacereported that next week, the Government of Cuba, together with the people, will begin a process of collection of signatures in support of Venezuela, for the constant siege it receives from the American empire.
He also indicated that due to the attacks that the Venezuelan people continue to face today, Cuba will carry out through rubrics, this pronouncement, in blunt rejection of what Comandante Fidel Castro warned about the danger of military bases in Latin America.
He explained that, at the end of the signature process, the records of the rubrics collected will be sent to President Maduro, ensuring that “it will be millions of Cubans and Cubans who will endorse.”
Morales Ojeda also reiterated that President Nicolás Maduro has all the support of the leader of the Cuban Revolution, the Army General, Raúl Castro Ruz, and the first secretary of the Central Committee of the PCC, and President of the Republic, Miguel Díaz Canel.
During his intervention in the activity, he said that this call is a clear message that the countries that make up the Bolivarian Alliance for the peoples of our America-Treaty of Commerce of the Peoples (ALBA-TCP), the community of Latin American and Caribbean states (CELAC), the entire international community, and of the free peoples and governments that defend peace, as Venezuela and Cuba defend it.

Roberto Morales Ojeda, reiterated the decision of the Cuban revolution to continue accompanying the Venezuelan people, and in turn, expressed his admiration for the merger, popular, military, police of Venezuela, which guarantees the continuity of the legacy of the eternal president “Hugo Rafael Chávez Frías.”
He also praised the firmness with which President Nicolás Maduro and Venezuelan leadership have faced the constant political, diplomatic, psychological and military aggressions from the United States.
During his encounter with the Venezuelan head of state, held at the Miraflores Palace in Caracas, Morales Ojeda said that the coherent position of the Venezuelan leadership «not only resists the imperial onslaught, but also reaffirms the validity of the historical legacy of El Libertador Simón Bolívar and the eternal commander Hugo Chávez. With this resistance, Venezuela marks the path of dignity and sovereignty that is an example for all of Latin America, ”he said.
