THE 4th edition of the Mimo Festival, in São Paulobegan this Friday (19), with free programming and the purpose of democratizing access to art and culture, occupying historical places of the city. Until Sunday (21), the public will be able to participate in more than 50 attractions, with renowned artists and new talents of instrumental music. 
The program features DJs Sets and an exclusive film show with movies that narrate the trajectory of names of Brazilian music and its productions.
The festival will occupy the central region of the capital, in places such as Anhangabaú Valley, Arts Square, Artistic Culture and São Paulo Cultural Center.
Created by Lu Araújo, who also signs the artistic direction, Mimo São Paulo will also feature international musicians from countries such as France, Portugal, Mozambique, Guinea-Bissau, Angola, Cuba, Spain, USA and Meeting Island (French territory on the coast of Africa). The presence is due to the partnership with Jazz in Marciac, one of the largest jazz festivals in the world.
“The Mimo Festival has the vocation to attract large audiences and occupy the historical centers of cities with art produced today. In São Paulo, we inserted ourselves in the context of revitalization of the historic center,” said Lu Araújo.

She points out that the concept of the event has always been to hold a free festival in scenarios that tell the stories of the urban and cultural construction of cities.
Among the national highlights, Mimo São Paulo receives Edu Lobo, in concert in artistic culture. In the Anhangabaú Valley, the festival’s main stage, Carlos Malta & Pife Muderno honors Edu Lobo’s 80th anniversary, and Ortinho, composer, singer and multi-instrumentalist Pernambuco will have, in his show, the special participation of singer Maria Alcina.
Also in the Anhangabaú Valley, Lia de Itamaracá receives the singer Karina Buhr on stage. Icon of Pernambuco music, the Encantado Fire Cordel returns to the stage after a hiatus, with its original formation.
Roberto Fonseca, multi-instrumentalist, composer and pianist of international projection and former member of Buena Vista Social Club, presents the show in the treat La Gran Diversiónwhich celebrates the Havana ball halls of the 1950s.
International reference of contemporary Brazilian instrumental music, Bixiga 70 brings together Afrobeat, samba, funk, jazz and Latin American rhythms. Already the Pernambuco Academy of Berlinda, which mixes rhythms such as Carimbó, Samba-Rock and Frevo, ends the program of the main stage on Sunday.
