The judge of the First Court of Preparatory Investigation Specialized in Crimes of Corruption of Officials and Organized Crime, Walther Huayllani Choquepuma, annulled one of the two preventive detention orders issued against Andrés Hurtado.
The decision was given after the expiration of the period of the preventive detention issued against him within the investigation for the Migrations case.
The resolution, issued on September 18, 2025, establishes that the measure proceeds “provided that against it does not work in force, compliance with the pending sentence or order of location and capture issued by national or international authority.”
In addition, it is stipulated that the Prosecutor’s Office did not ask the judiciary to extend the preventive detention against the television driver. For this reason, the judge ordered his immediate release.
However, ‘Chibolín’ will continue in prison for a second measure imposed by another court for investigation against him for influence peddling and money laundering.
