Santiago de Chile. -President Luis Abinader and the First Lady, Raquel Arbaje, arrived at 9:00 pm this Wednesday in Chile, through the Arturo Merino Benítez International Airport, to follow up on their work agenda.
Also accompanying him on the continuation of this trip through South America, the Foreign Minister of the Republic, Roberto Álvarez.
The president, who was received with the corresponding honors, plans to participate this Friday in the swearing-in of the new Chilean president, Gabriel Boric Font, at the National Congress headquarters in Valparaíso. He will then attend the Cerro Castillo Palace where a lunch will be offered.
During the morning of this Thursday, Abinader and his wife, the First Lady Raquel Arbaje, will be received by the current ruler of Chile, Sebastián Piñera Echenique, and his wife, Cecilia Morel, at the Palacio de La Moneda.
Prior to his arrival in Chile, President Abinader exhausted an intense agenda of meetings in Argentina, including with his counterpart Alberto Fernández, with whom he signed an important agreement for the Dominican Republic on hydrocarbons.
Other agreements were also signed that will impact the areas of health, agriculture, and meetings were held on the promotion of trade and investment. Later, Abinader was recognized by the Chamber of Deputies of the Argentine Republic, where he met with the Honorable Mr. Sergio Massa, president of the same.
During his visit to Argentina, President Abinader was accompanied by the Ministers of Foreign Affairs, Roberto Álvarez, and of Industry, Commerce and MSMEs, Ito Bisonó, as well as the president of the Dominican Oil Refinery, Leonardo Aguilera; and the president of the BAGRICOLA Council, Francisco Leonis Fernández Onofre. The Dominican ambassador to Argentina, Gustavo Hernando, was also part of the delegation.
