Deputies approve road to Okinawa and hurry laws in the final stretch

The Plenary of the Chamber of Deputies on Thursday approved a credit of $ 74.8 million with the CAF for the construction of the Okinawa road section – Los Troncos, in Santa Cruz, a expected work for more than two years. The legislator highlighted among the approved projects the authorization of two external credits for a total of USD 314.8 million, managed between the government and the Andean Development Corporation (CAF). One of them corresponds to a $ 74.8 million loan with the CAF for the construction of the Okinawa road – Los Troncos, in the department of Santa Cruz. The bill will go to the Senate for consideration.

The work was defended by the Cruceña Bank of Deputies of ruling and opposition who qualified it as national priority to integrate the departments of Santa Cruz, Beni and Cochabamba.

Three of the approved norms are social or technical, such as the delimitation of municipalities, the modification of the Family Code and the ratification of the protocol against the illicit traffic of migrants.

According to political scientist Franco Gamboa, The final stretch of parliamentary work is carried out under a context of tension between the Executive and the Legislative and in the last stage it is concentrated in a hurried analysis of projects.
