Santo Domingo.- He President lUIS ABINADER postponed the encourages scheduled with the Dominican community in Boston and New Yorkfor a date that will be announced soon, according to the press director of the Presidency, Alberto Caminero.
The president made the decision due to the short time available to adequately dedicate the Dominican diaspora and the prestigious businessmen of both cities.
Abinader reiterated that these sectors deserve special attention and more extensive encounters, so it will reprogram them later.
Meanwhile, he will continue with his official agenda in the United Nations Organization (UN)which includes a speech before the General Assembly and high -level bilateral meetings.
Among the meetings are meetings with the US Secretary of State Marcos Rubio; the UN Secretary General, António Guterres; and a dinner-reception with the US president, Donald Trump. Will also hold a dialogue with former British prime ministerTony Blair.
The Presidency stressed that Abinader seeks strengthen bilateral, diplomatic and economic relations of the Dominican Republicin addition to maintaining a narrow link with the Dominican community abroad.
