The president of the Republic Nicolás Maduro said that this weekend the barracks go to the communities, as a reciprocity action in defense of the homeland, to the activity of last weekend, when the town went to the barracks to train.
“The fanb goes to the town, goes to the communities. All barracks with their weapons go to the communities, to place them, to teach all those who enlist what is the weapons management system,” he said.
He recalled that “a week ago the town went to the barracks, refining the military machinery for defense of the country and this Saturday, next Saturday, September 20, the barracks go to the town, they will visit the 5336 communal circuits.”
The president reflected that last week’s training was a surprise for the world, with “our people in the military bases and barracks of the country”, in a training process for the integral defense of the nation.
He stressed that the Constitution forces that the defense of the homeland is a co -responsibility, so it is necessary, before the American aggression, that the FANB, that “is uniformed and armed people, (be) united as that of the liberators.”
Caribbean Operation 200 from Orchila
President Maduro, in response to the American threat, has implemented the application of the Caribbean Military Operation 200, which integrates all the components of the Bolivarian National Armed Forces, together with the popular power, for the defense of the country throughout the territory.
“In Venezuela there has been a wonderful process: enlistment, exercises, operations and right now, in real time, in the Venezuelan Caribbean we are developing the Caribbean Operation,” he said, and requested support for the FANB for their integral work in the defense of the territory.
He stressed that the ability to defend our right to peace, by the FANB, “has surprised the world” for the coordination and cohesion of its troops. “It has been wonderful how the FANB has done an exercise that has surprised the world, the world news to defend our homeland, our right to peace is surprised.”
The president reiterated Venezuela’s commitment to peace and sovereignty. “What we want is sovereignty, peace, self -determination,” he said, making it clear that “the times of the colonies passed, slaves ever.”
