In the case of the apprehension of Hernán Bermúdez, Secretary of Public Security of Tabasco in the government of Adam Augusto López, and accused of being leader of the criminal group The barredoraPresident Claudia Sheinbaum said that the most important thing is that there is no impunity, but the investigation corresponds to the General Prosecutors of the Republic and the State.
In yesterday’s morning, the president spoke that the inquiries reveal “how this person broke down, when he was withdrawn from being Secretary of Security and how he, from there, fled.”
He stressed that Bermúdez was located in Paraguay from a very important work of the National Intelligence Center, which – said hours before the Paraguayan government determined to deport it to Mexico – the Ministry of Foreign Affairs would initiate contacts with the authorities of that South American nation to speed up its transfer to national territory.
He emphasized that “the idea is for Mexico to come and declare everything about its links with criminal groups, so that there is no impunity, regardless of whether he was Secretary of Security of a governor who was from Morena. Zero impunity.” In this regard, he recalled that the former state president and now Morenista senator has expressed his willingness to collaborate in the judicial process that will follow Bermúdez.
Everything must be clarified, he stressed, so his government does not intend to suggest to the prosecutors what must investigate and what not.
