Venezuela thanks Russia for support against US threats

The Vice President of the Republic, Delcy Rodríguez, held a meeting with the Russian ambassador to Venezuela, Sergey Mélik-Bagdasárov, in which she thanked the Eurasian country for support for the growing military threats of the United States (USA) against La Nación.

During the meeting, they reviewed the Binational Agenda in the framework of the Cooperation and Strategic Association Agreement signed in May 2025 by Presidents Nicolás Maduro and Vladimir Putin, the executive reported on her Telegram channel.

«We advocate the construction of a world of peace where the self -determination of peoples prevails. Venezuela and Russia continue to build roads of peace, social justice and independence! ”, Rodríguez said.

In recent days, the spokeswoman for the Russian Foreign MinistryMaría Zajárova, expressed the concern of her country for the tension caused by US military deployment in the South Caribbean and said her government supports Venezuela in her “inalienable right to freely determine its political, economic and social path without external pressures,” alluding to Washington’s threat against the Caribbean country.

Russia reiterated that Venezuelan sovereignty must be respected and warned the international community on the risk involved in the militarization of the Caribbean by the United States.

Together with Russia, countries such as China, Iran and Belarus, have expressed their rejection of the US military threat. In our continent, Colombia, Brazil, Bolivia, Nicaragua, Mexico, Honduras, Cuba and all Nations of Alba-TCP, firmly support Venezuela.
