At 7:40 am on Monday, a commission of the Special Actions Forces (FAES) of the Bolivarian National Police (PNB) held an exchange of shooting against an armed subject in the main street of the Majorquín III neighborhood of Barcelona, Anzoátegui state.
It was known that the dejected was identified as José Félix Medina, 24, aka “Catire”, who faced the PNB command group that made patrol work in the area.
The subject opened fire with a 12 -caliber shotgun, managing to hurt one of the agents, identified as Richard Corrales, of official rank. Medina hid in a house when he was given high voice and from there he attacked the officials who folded him.
Medina died at the Razetti hospital after being treated. The Corrales officer is stable after the impact of pellet on the maxilla.
The FAES had another confrontation last Saturday in the rural area of the Sotillo municipality. There Nelson Javier Idrogo fell, aka “Javielito”, who was the leader of the band “El Javielito and El Moisés”. He died when facing the commission and was taken to the Luis Razetti hospital in Barcelona.
The incident occurred in the main street of the La Gracia de Dios sector, Barrio La Floresta, Sotillo municipality.
