In an event held on Tuesday, September 16, the official installation of the National Council for the Sovereignty and Peace of Venezuela was held, an event that was attended by the President of the Republic, Nicolás Maduro Moros, and the Attorney General, Tarek William Saab.
During his speech, the national president reiterated his call for Venezuela to be recognized as a peace zone, firmly rejecting the actions and speeches that, he denounced, seek to undermine the sovereignty and independence of the country.
«From the Public Ministry, as the Attorney General of the Republic, together with the Ombudsman’s Office and the Comptroller General of the Republic, we have joined as public authorities of the State, and as representatives of the Citizen Power, to remain institutionally firm, to maintain not only the national unity, but also the advances in defense of our sovereignty, justice, peace and human rights, maintaining permanently, together with the system of justice, a time Those cases and situations in defense of the peace of Venezuela, ”Saab said in a press release.
In the event, Maduro highlighted the role of the Attorney General, whom he described as “human rights defender, editor of the Constitution and president of the Citizen Power.” In his words, he reaffirmed the importance of national unity and said: “The affairs of Venezuelans must always be resolved by us, Venezuelans and Venezuelans, always with the Constitution in front, always by way of respect, tolerance, dialogue, understanding.”
The Public Ministry, under the direction of Tarek William Saab, has developed various actions aimed at preserving the peace of the Republic, in close coordination with the National Executive, in defense of Venezuelan sovereignty.
