The deputies of the Finance and Budget Commissions refine the calendar to discuss and approve the 2026 economic package.
The president of the Treasury Commission, Carol Antonio Altamirano, of Morena, said that tomorrow the commission will be declared in permanent session to begin receiving officials in work meetings.
He endorsed that in the face of approved the Income Law, the reforms to the Customs Law seek to approve, so it is proposed that on Thursday, September 25, officials will attend to analyze that initiative.
For this, “the proposal is for a farm official to come, a customs officer, the legal can be and an official of the Ministry of Economy to check the issue.”
On Monday, September 29, this initiative in the Commission would be in a position to rule, in order to approve it in the full countryside on the 30th of this month.
Already on the economic package, Altamirano recalled that the income package includes the Law of the Special Tax on Production and Services (IEPS), Fiscal Code of the Federation and, Income Law.
Since the Income Law must be supported before the budget discussion begins, all that will begin to be discussed, according to the route that will be submitted tomorrow to approval of the Finance Commission, from October 2.
That day would be analyzed but the opinion is proposed, it could be approved in commission on the 13th of that month, to get on approval of the Plenary of the Chamber on the 14th. That would give enough time for its discussion and approval because it must be sent to the Senate no later than October 20.
The budget route
In a separate interview, Deputy Merilyn Gómez Pozos, also from Morena, stated that in the session of the Budget Commission, to be held tomorrow, the calendar of meetings will be proposed with the officials to carry out the 2026 spending.
In a preliminary way, the Secretary of the Treasury, Edgar Amador, is expected to go on Wednesday, September 24.
Tomorrow the creation and integration of work groups is approved, tentatively with the themes: economic development, gender perspective; sustainable development; social development; Government and federalized expense.
Each analysis table would carry out open Parliament sessions, to vent in three days, on Monday, October 6, those related to economic development and gender perspective.
Tuesday seven would be the forums on sustainable development and social development and on Friday, October 10 would be the open Parliament sessions on government and federalized expense.
