The prosecutor of the nation, Delia Espinozahe spoke about the audience of the National Justice Board (JNJ) in which the proposal will be evaluated to suspend it from the position for serious and very serious offenses.
In that sense, the head of the Public Ministry assured that the JNJ seeks to separate it from the position “irregular, arbitrary and abusive. “What the JNJ is pretending is to realize the act that did not culminate on June 16,” he said in RPP.
“The JNJ pretended that I deliver that position to Mrs. Patricia Benavides, who has already been demonstrated, to that date she still remained validly dismissed in another disciplinary procedure,” he said.
Espinoza considered that the proposal to suspend it “could respond to a reaction desperate for the important investigations that we are following against Mr. Santiváñez, against ministers, congressmen, against the president of the Republic.”
“They want to get me badly, irregularly, unconstitutional. This is practically an immediate process, it is arbitrary,” he reiterated.
The Nation Prosecutor said they seek to take her away from the position because they want to stop the investigations that she has started against officials. In addition, he questioned the commission that chose the members of the JNJ.
“The Special Commission that chose the JNJ is also being investigated in the light of what was spreadly disclosed on the irregularities in the appointment of Mr. Gino Ríos,” he said.
He also indicated that he has not been notified of “the previous reports”, which, he said, only carry the signature of the head of the JNJ, when, he said, the signature of all members is required. “It’s a vitiated, irregular process,” he said.
“I have been violated the right to defense. I have not been able to claim at the time because I have not been notified of the first reports that Mrs. Cabrera leaked to social networks,” he said.
