The 3,962 kilos of cocaine that seized Venezuelan military agents last Monday, intended to be used by the United States Drug Control Administration (DEA) to show that this drug had left Venezuela.
Such revelation was made by the Minister of Interiors, Justice and Peace, Diosdado Cabello, during a press conference that he offered yesterday from his office.
The confiscation was informed on Monday, September 15 by President Nicolás Maduro before foreign media correspondents and Creoles.
But yesterday, Minister Cabello abounded in details and said that the owner of that cargo was Levi Enrique López Batis, who is an agent of the DEA and because of this he set up the false positive. Cabello explained that this drug left from Puerto López, Colombia to the United States. But Venezuelan military agents intercepted the boat when it passed at the height of Sabanas Altas, Federation Municipality (Churuguara), Falcón state, according to the map shown by Minister Cabello.
The owner of that cocaine stash, deposited in 100 bags, is linked to Jercio Parra Machado, the subject that operates in Zulia using Lake Maracaibo to transport the drug to the United States, a route that has been colonated product of the lightning military operation of the Catatumbo by which they seized 32 tons of cocaine in a month.
During the seizure, the occupants of the boat were arrested, four Venezuelans captured by the DEA: Joeluis José Rodríguez Ramos (Captain and GPS operator), Jesús Antonio Quilarque Carreño (sailor), Jhonny José Salazar Gutiérrez (sailor) and Carlos Alberto Bravo Lemus (sailor). The latter was imprisoned in Puerto Rico for drug trafficking. And precisely, who puts the DEA with drug traffickers is alias Cirilo, which is deprived of liberty on the aforementioned Caribbean island, said the minister.
These four detained people are offering details of what the false positive that intended to set up the DEA would be. “All this is in the same operation of accusing Venezuela of any barbarity,” said the minister who seems very strange that the four vessel occupants wore his identity card. It presumes that these documents would be used by the DEA to mount the “False Flag Operation” that consisted of saying that this drug left Venezuela.
We asked the minister what was the veracity of what was said by the president of the United States, that the frigates of the Navy of that country had destroyed three drugs with drugs in the Caribbean. “One does not know; because they say that he wore drugs, but who saw the drug. They say he was carrying fentanil, he is complicated to believe,” Cabello replied.

- “Spain reported its greatest seizure of cocaine in 2024: 13 tons in a single shipment, hidden in bananas from the port of Guayaquil, Ecuador,” the minister read.
- “You have to be very bold to send 13 tons hidden in banana … Ah if you add who has control of that port, everything arrives in Daniel Noboa,” said Minister Cabello referring to the president of Ecuador.
