Senator Jota Pe Hernández explained that it is a political statement in which A “message from the Senate of the Republic is sent to separate us from that position of President Gustavo Petro, who says that the Sol poster does not exist, or that position in which he defends the Maduro regime. ”
Hernández recalled that the United States government has offered a reward for Nicolás Maduro and the members of his regime, for the alleged sponsorship they have given to that criminal organization.
“When the Senate of the Republic today decides to declare it as a terrorist and criminal organization, it is simply sending a message not only to the world, also Venezuela and its regime and also to the United States: We do not deserve a descertification, here are politicians who are fighting drug trafficking, ”he said.
Although in principle it had been proposed to include a paragraph that urged the Government to adopt this same position against the so -called Los Soles Cartel, it decided to eliminate itself so as not to compromise the Executive with this statement made by the Colombian Legislative Power.
