Stefano Miranda, lawyer of the Minister of Justice and Human Rights, Juan José Santiváñezhe denied that his sponsor has requested favors to other ministers for Miguel Marcelo Outrosas, a Peruvian police exagent sentenced to 27 years in prison for integrating the armed arm of the criminal organization The octopuswhich operated in Trujillo.
The pronouncement of Miranda occurred after the Panorama program spread an audio in which, allegedly, Juan José Santiváñez is heard – then Minister of the Interior – to ask the Premier Eduardo Arana – Minister of Justice at that time – that intercedes to change the pavilion to the plundering Miguel Marcelo Outrosas, known as “El Diablo”, in the prison of El Milagro de Trujillo.
“Not only has he noted any favor, no request has been specified that in these audios are heard. Because they would have done the favor, my client should not be in that ministry,” said Santiváñez’s lawyer in RPP.
The lawyer said that, in seven months, the Prosecutor’s Office has not corroborated that its sponsor incurred influences, because the favor was not carried out to Sairrous.
“Today, seven months later, the Prosecutor’s Office has not been able to corroborate with any element of conviction that, indeed, there was any favor in exchange for the Lord. For example, if he was promised to go to Pavilion 13 of the Trujillo prison, did that happen? He pointed out.
The lawyer assured that the revealed audios must be subject to an expertise to corroborate that the voice that is heard is that of their sponsor.
“First it has to be corroborated that these audios belong to my client and that they come from a reliable matrix to be able to submit it to the corresponding expertise. Second, there is no call traffic or any illicit request,” he said.
“There are other dark interest here. Juan José Santiváñez turns out to be an impediment to hiring adeles. That is why they do not want it as a minister because the people who are in power want to continue tending with the State, but as he has denied it, it is that all these people are assembled,” he added.
