Next Saturday (20), World Cleaning Day, from 7 am, 22 cities across the country will perform joint efforts and educational actions to take care of their squares, rivers, mangroves, beaches, duct bands.
The mobilization marks the passage of the global date, recognized by the United Nations and celebrated in about 200 countries.
In Brazil, the initiative is articulated by the Clean Brazil Institute and developed in 20 states and the Federal District where Transpetro has operations, such as storage and distribution of oil, derivatives, biofuels and natural gas.
According to the organizers, the purpose is to promote “actions of environmental education and circular economy”. The waste collected will be discarded properly. Reusable materials will be sent to collectors and recycling associations.

In addition to the joint efforts in the 22 cities on Saturday, there will also be from this Tuesday (16) cleaning actions, workshops, lectures, educational activities, games and dolls in 37 cities in 20 states and the Federal District.

Last year, more than 1,200 tons of waste were collected by mobilization on World Cleaning Day.
