The court charged for double homicide in real reiteration to the taxi driver who last saw the 16-year-old teenager, Ahielén Casavieja, alive and in whose garden the body appeared. She must serve preventive detention for 180 days.
“It’s a pretty complex case,” prosecutor Sandra Boragno said. “We are not clear about the motive, it could be due to drugs, hatred or contempt for women”he expressed at a press conference, at the exit of the hearing.
In his stories to the police, the accused “had different versions”, and before the prosecution he did not want to testify, making use of his right.
The brother of the now accused made the complaint last Thursday when, while cleaning a cesspool, he found a part of the young woman’s body. The taxi driver escaped, but the police arrested him on Monday night.
Casavieja had disappeared in the early hours of February 12 and the police had come to verify that he had gotten into the taxi of the now accused. Although due to the state of deterioration of the body, his identity could only be confirmed this Wednesday, prosecutor Boragno and the police were working on that hypothesis.
During the search, they also spotted another body that was more deteriorated and that had been kept in a refrigerator, which was buried in the garden. The second body was that of a young woman who lived in the area.
The second body “was denounced as absent, then information was received that it had been admitted to a sanatorium,” Boragno added.
According to their relatives, when she got into the alleged murderer’s taxi, it was the last time she was seen alive and in fact he got in touch with the family. That is why they were present at her house asking for her back. “Bo, Leo, stop screwing around and give the girl back,” Johnatan reminded The Observer what he said to the man, when he accompanied the teenager’s family to his neighbor’s house. “He, who was drugged, said that we were pretending to be alive,” she added.
