President Luiz Inacio Lula da Silva met on Monday (15) with executives from the company 99, owner of the transport application of the same name. 
The company announced an investment of $ 2 billion in 99food, food delivery, until June 2026.
The goal is to offer the service in 15 cities by the end of this year, and in another 20 cities, until January 2026. Currently, operations are restricted to Goiânia and São Paulo.
Didi’s founder and CEO, Will Cheng (photo), stressed that “this additional investment reinforces Brazil’s central role in Didi’s global strategy [proprietária chinesa do aplicativo 99]”.
“Few markets combine scale, innovation and opportunity like the Brazilian. We are confident that 99food can become a platform that can turn the delivery experience. By bending our commitment, we are not just investing in growth, but building a fairer and more inclusive ecosystem for millions of Brazilians,” he said.
According to 99 Director-General in Brazil, Simeng Wang, part of the investment, equivalent to R $ 50 million, will be used to create support points for delivery, with resting place, bathroom and water supply.
THE Company package still foresees R $ 6 billion access to benefits to deliveries in Brazil, as Credit for purchase and rent of motorcycles and electric bikes.
