Maduro receives blessing from the Virgen de la Altagracia sent from the Dominican Republic

The president of Venezuela, Nicolás Maduro, received the blessing of the Virgen de la Altagracia, sent from the Dominican Republic.

The delivery of the image was carried out by Miguel Mejía, who sent it from the country as an expression peace and union in the Caribbean.

During the delivery, Maduro expressed his gratitude to receive the most venerated invocation in the Dominican Republic, highlighting the spiritual and cultural value it represents.

Likewise, the president made reference to the medal that accompanied the image and described it as a symbol of peace and hope.

The Virgen de la Altagracia is considered the protector of the Dominican people and is the object of one of the most important religious celebrations in the country, every January 21, thousands of parishioners congregate in their sanctuary in Higüey to pay tribute and renew their faith.
