President Claudia Sheinbaum Pardo led yesterday the commemoration of the 178th anniversary of the Gas Sovereignty is a sacred bastion that defends itself with one’s life, if necessary. ”
It was the first time that a woman, the president of the Republic and commandonta supreme of the Armed Forces, was in charge of that act with which the students of the Military College are remembered every September 13, some almost children and among them the six heroes, who in 1847 were beaten with the powerful army of the United States.
The Chief of the Executive was also accompanied in the presidium installed in front of the monument known as the altar to the homeland, in the Chapultepec forest, by the other two powers of the Union, the Judicial and the Legislative, represented by the president of the Supreme Court, Hugo Aguilar, and the presidents of the Senate, Laura Itzel Castillo, and of the Chamber of Deputies, the PAN KENYSHE.
Trevilla Trejo reiterated in his speech: “Nothing will take the armed forces from the missions entrusted, which are to defend integrity, independence, but above all national sovereignty.”
He took the opportunity to formulate the members of the Secretariat of the Navy of Mexico, an institution that, he said, “throughout its history has contributed to the construction and strengthening of our great nation” and this means “to talk about patriotism.”
From its site, next to President Sheinbaum, Marina’s secretary, Admiral Raymundo Pedro Morales, heard the head of the defense emphasize that this recognition to the Navy did it in the name of her gun companions, “soldiers, pilots and national guards.”

He also stood out against President Claudia Sheinbaum that the Armed Forces, “under her leadership, we will continue to strengthen that national feeling.”
Before Trevilla Trejo’s speech, the President of the Republic made the Honoes Children’s pass. He mentioned Juan de la Barrera, Juan Escutia, Agustín Melgar, Vicente Suárez, Fernando Montes de Oca and Francisco Márquez, and after each name, contingents of cadets of the Military College and the Heroic School Nava shouted in Chorus: “He died for the homeland.”
