Edomex provides accompaniment to victims of explosion in Concordia; They discharge 3 patients

  • 16 Mexican patients continue to be hospitalized; They receive timely care and specialized in different medical units.
  • Legal and economic support is granted to 24 affected families.
  • There is coordination between the GEM, the Federal Government, the Government Headquarters of the CDMX and various municipalities.

Toluca, State of Mexico.- The Government of the State of Mexico informs that it remains close to the families affected by the explosion of a gas pipe that occurred on September 10 on the Concorda bridge. As a result of this unfortunate accident, 23 injured people originating from the State of Mexico were recorded; Today, thanks to the effort of doctors and specialists, three patients have achieved their recovery and have been discharged, while 16 more remain hospitalized and receive specialized care in institutions of the State of Mexico and Mexico City and 4 more unfortunately lost their lives.

The state government has worked in a coordinated manner with the government of President Claudia Sheinbaum, through the ISSSTE and IMSS, and with the head of government of Mexico City, Clara Brugada Molina.

On the instructions of Governor Delfina Gómez Álvarez, the General Coordination of Civil Protection and Integral Risk Management, together with the Legal Ministry, have delivered legal and economic support to 24 families. Likewise, the Executive Commission for Victims Attention deployed medical, psychological, legal and social personnel to provide comprehensive care, listen first hand and facilitate the procedures required by injured people and their families.

The Volunteer of Health and Humanism of the Ministry of Health, in coordination with federal hospitals, managed specialized renal therapy team to reinforce the treatment of burned patients in the UMAE of Magdalena de las Salinas. These actions seek to add efforts to clinical care and emotionally accompany those who today fight for their recovery.

Governor Delfina Gómez Álvarez and health authorities have visited IMSS hospitals, ISSSTE and the capital’s health network, with the commitment to maintain a close dialogue with relatives and patients.

In addition, coordination with the municipal presidents has been had: Adolfo Cerqueda Rebollo (Nezahualcóyotl), Martha Guerrero Sánchez (La Paz), Francisco Javier Mendoza (Chicoloapan), Alan Velasco Agüero (Valle de Chalco), Xóchitl Flores Jiménez (Chimalhuacán), Azucena Cisneros Coss (Ecatepec), Nazario Gutierrez Martínez (Texcoco), Felipe Rafael Arvizu de la Luz (Ixtapaluca) and Abigail Sánchez Martínez (Chalco), convinced that solidarity and timely attention are key to overcome this emergency.
