Civil Police from Rio, with support from the São Paulo Civil Police, arrested on Saturday (13) Átila Carlai da Luz, one of the largest suppliers of signal -blocking equipment used by the criminal factions of Rio. He was in a luxury condominium in Sorocaba, Paulista Metropolitan Region. 
After intelligence work from the Rio Civil Police, Attila was identified as involved in the commercialization of gadgets known as jammers, used as signs of cell phones, drones and GPS. Illicit technologies are used by criminal organizations against security agents and to practice various crimes.
Authorized by the court, Rio police with the support of the São Paulo police served a search and seizure warrant at the suspect’s address, where several equipment was found for immediate use and devices still under assembly. Attila da Luz was arrested in the act and charged by the São Paulo police.
Crimes
According to the Rio Civil Police, Attila had already been convicted twice for fraud at ATMs and currently responds to a third case for the same crime. Already in São Paulo, he accumulates several passages, such as conviction to 32 years in prison for international drug trafficking, linked to a millionaire scheme to send cocaine using Guarulhos Airport as a point of sending narcotics to Europe.
To dispatch cargo, Attila used a criminal network of corrupted employees and collaborators, paying up to 500 times higher than the servers earned, thus ensuring that the drug arrived to Portugal, where it was received by gang -related people and resold in the European market.
