Lau [Laura Pigossi]It is very hard to be on the opposite side, after all we have gone together. After Tokyo, a lot happened in simple and doubles in Brazil’s women’s tennis. ”

But she also celebrated the partnership with Timea Babos, stating that, with this achievement, Hungarian has become a little Brazilian: “Brazil is also your home now!”.

Fall of Bia Haddad

Already the final of the simple key will be played next Sunday (14), from 15h (Brasilia time. And the candidates for the title are the French Tiantsoa Rakotomanga Rajaonah, only 19 years old, and Indonesia Janice Tjen, 23.

Who frustrated the expectation of the fans was the Brazilian Beatriz Haddad Maia, who last Friday (12) stopped before the Mexican Renata Zarazua in a match valid for the quarterfinals of the competition. The Mexican was out of the competition’s decision after being defeated on Saturday by the French Tiantsoa Rakotomanga Rajaonah.
