Senate renews members of the CNTV unanimously

During this afternoon the Senate unanimously renewed all the members of the National Television Council (CNTV).

The proposal was made by the President of the Republic, Sebastian Pineraand presented by the Government Spokesperson Minister, Jaime Bellolibefore the Education and Culture Committee of the Senate, and later in the Chamber.

In addition, these candidates guarantee plurality, not only because they represent different views of life and society, but above all because they have an unrestricted commitment to democratic values”, assured Minister Jaime Bellolio to the Senate.

Along these lines, Bellolio assured that “for the first time, half of the board is renewed simultaneously. We appreciate the speed of the Senate in unanimously approving the official letter of the President of the Republic to appoint the CNTV directors”.

In addition, the government spokesman thanked the members of the Education Commission for the decision that they had been processing since December of last year.

The people who were renewed to continue being part of the CNTV are: Carolina Dell’Oro, Bernadette del Solar, Beatrice Avalos and Daniela Catrileo.
