Alejandrina Salcedo, General Director of Economic Research of Banxico, said that an example of the measures taken by businessmen to avoid theft on roads are the changes in the schedules in which the Mercanías move.
The businessmen highlighted a greater occurrence of insecurity events, in particular robberies and extortion, which continue to raise the costs of transfer of goods.
“They also pointed out that extortion and assaults on cargo transport persisted, which more expensive logistics and security services,” said the report.
