Pro-Palestinian demonstrations are scheduled to take place this Saturday (13) in several cities in Brazil, in solidarity with the Global Sumud flotilha, which follows supplies bound for the Gaza Strip. In São Paulo, the concentration of the act began early this afternoon, in Roosevelt Square, with the participation of social, trade unions and political parties.
Flotilha is an international civil mission, formed by a fleet of boats and delegations from over 40 countries. In addition to delivering material aid, the mission seeks to break Gaza’s isolation and draw the world’s attention to the urgency of the situation in Palestinian territory.
Since the beginning of the Israeli offensive, the humanitarian crisis intensifies in the Gaza Strip, with the population facing Israel’s hunger and block for humanitarian aid.
“Faced with the Palestinian Holocaust, the hunger imposed by Israel’s criminal blockade on the entire population of Gaza, which kills day by day, as well as the bombs, bullets, thirst, we are in a large current of international solidarity, along with the global Sumud Flotilla to break this siege. We call all and all to march with us. Palestine from São Paulo, one of the organizing entities of the act.
In addition to the Palestinian Front, the action is convened by Alba Movements, the International Assembly of Peoples (AIP), among other organizations. The act adds to the pro-Palestinian world mobilizations.
