In this regard, the high official stressed that intellectual property is one of the most important intangible assets for countries, “because they represent the innovation of their peoples, the degree of science and technology, education transversalizing through science and technology, protecting the capacities and creative powers of our people.”
He explained that, in relation to 2023, during 2024 there was a growth of more than 120% in brands, more than 420% in copyright and almost 600 patents were reached.
«President Nicolás Maduro requested a strategic plan for the protection of intellectual property. Not only are our courageous men and women, the people of Venezuela, but it is also to protect their thinking, ”he said.
He informed that the first collective brand of Venezuela was delivered to the fishermen and fishermen’s movement, which through the CONPPA brand are registering 25 products of the sea. A brand record was also granted to a pequiven product that helps cleaning the pipes, an invention of their workers.
“The West can block our access to the international financial system, you can block commercial, financial activities, but they can never block our thinking of freedom, independence, love for Venezuela, and that is a very clear message that the Venezuelan people are giving today,” he said.
