The seismological network of the San Calixto Observatory (RS-OSC), reported this Saturday at 7:40 am an earthquake of magnitude 4.6 with epicenter located in the Esteban Arze province of the department of Cochabamba.
According to the seismic bulletin hanging on the Electronic Portal of the RS-OSC, the “hypocentral depth” was from 19.9 km, considering a superficial earthquake.
The epicenter was located 8 kilometers southwest of Anzaldo, 25 km south of Tarata and 27 km south of Cliza.
“Due to the depth <70 km (cortical earthquake) it is likely that be felt and cause damage to regions surrounding the epicenter ”, The newsletter indicated.
