The Simón Bolívar Institute Foundation for Peace and Solidarity between Peoples (ISB), an entity attached to the Ministry of Popular Power for Foreign Affairs, sentenced this Friday that the Caribbean and Latin America are not war scenarios, according to the body’s press release.
Through a videoconference, the Foundation reaffirmed that Venezuela, Latin America and the Caribbean make up a peace zone, a position that is supported by the threat that represents the military presence of the United States (USA) in the Caribbean, which, under the pretext of “fighting” drug trafficking, seeks to usurp the riches of the region.
This not only represents a risk for Venezuela, but for the peace and stability of the entire Caribbean.
Under the motto “Venezuela is not a threat, Venezuela is a hope,” the president of the ISB, Blanca Eekhout, said that “we have been developing different conferences and today we address the issue of the Caribbean. We do it from diplomacy, together with various sectors: social movements, unions and our Afro -descendant people and women around the world. We touched on the issue of this aggressive and warlike action of placing nuclear submarines, an action of the North American country without any justification ”.
In addition, he stressed that “we have worked all month with brothers, Afro -descendant and social groups, based on promoting peace in the Caribbean. Venezuela is a hope. Thanks to the UN report of the year 2025, the narrative that we are a ‘narco -terrorist country’ has been dismantled. The report demonstrates the hard blows we have given to drug trafficking, which shows that this accusation is just a plan to attack the entire Caribbean.
During the videoconference, representatives of Haiti, Puerto Rico, Argentina, Belize, Cuba and Brazil, among others, intervened.
The event, organized by the ISB, had more than 180 participants from 22 countries, in addition to missions, social movements, spokesmen of communes and 12 diplomatic delegations.
Wills Rangel, president of the Bolivarian Socialist Workers, said during his presentation: «This is a call for attention. Venezuela will not defeat us, we are prepared. What we are doing, from town to town, is to capture attention and stay alert. This happens because Venezuela, for strategic and historical reasons, has always been an objective, ”he concluded.
