Critical Church violate human rights in Latin American countries

Iglesia critica violen derechos humanos en países de Latinoamérica

SANTIAGO.- The local archdiocese of the Catholic Church criticized Latin American governments for becoming executioners of their compatriots who, as they affirm, violate their human rights.

The opinion in this regard is contained in the editorial note of the Catholic National Weekly Camino entitled “Let’s not forget Nicaragua”, and that will circulate in all parishes from this next Sunday 14 of the Corrientes.

“The Latin American peoples have traveled along the route of freedom and oppression and the so -called continent of hope, is going through critical moments where some governments forget the promises that led them to power, becoming executioners of their compatriots,” says a way.

The Church condemns human rights violation in Latin America by oppressive governments

It states that in those countries the violation of human rights is a constant, making corruption a support to stay chasing, torturing and sending into exile those who think differently.

Indicates that for them the preachers of the Gospel is an offense, and fear him.

“In the case of Nicaragua that persecution has reached unbearable levels, where several bishops, priests, seminarians and committed lay people have been banished suffering the violation of the right to live in their homeland,” says the written spokesman of the Catholic Church.

And it indicates that among those affected by that situation in Nicaragua, are Monsignor Carlos Enrique Herrera, president of the Episcopal Conference of Nicaragua, Silvio José Báez, auxiliary bishop of the Archdiocese of Managua and Monsignor Isidro Mora, Bishop of the Diocese of Siuna.

He points out that on August 25 of this year, these bishops were received by Pope León 14 and that this encounter with the successor of Peter, is an expression of breath for these brothers who suffer the rigors in their own flesh of those who fear the Word of God, which is always liberating.
