A total of 41 sacks with 1,023 packages of presumed illicit substance were seized by
the National Aeronaval Service (SENAN), also apprehended four people aboard a speedboat, in the area of ​​Santa Isabel, Costa Arriba de Colón.

This action against drug trafficking was carried out through illicit maritime traffic control patrol tasks, within the framework of “Operations Genesis and Caribbean 2-Phase 4”, in coordination with the Panama Naval Air Operations Center (CROAN).

Both the crew, the boat and the alleged drug were transferred to the Admiral Cristóbal Colón Naval Base in Sherman, for the pertinent proceedings. This was previously coordinated with the Drug Prosecutor’s Office of Colón and Guna Yala.

So far in 2022, the National Aeronaval Service, through the execution of 20 operations, has achieved the total seizure of 16,369 packages of illicit substances.
