The National Emergency System (Sinae) reported this Monday 158 new cases of covid-19 in Uruguay. It was from the processing of 7,014 analyzes during the day.
Of the 158 new cases, 81 are from Montevideo, 25 from Canelones, 11 from Lavalleja, seven from Maldonado, six from Colonia, six from Tacuarembó, five from Durazno, five from Soriano, four from Cerro Largo, three from Florida, one from Paysandú, one from Rivera, one from Rocha, one from Salto and one from San José.
Since the health emergency was declared on March 13, 2020, 3,841,507 tests have been processed and 394,053 positive cases of Coronavirus have been registered throughout the national territory. Of that total, 385,687 have already been recovered.
The record raised to 2,286 the number of active cases, with people suffering from the disease in all departments of the country.
The official report further confirmed two new deaths: an 80-year-old man in Cerro Largo and a 70-year-old woman in Tacuarembó. With this balance, they are 6,080 deaths attributed to the disease in Uruguay since March 13, 2020, the day the first cases were confirmed.
According to the Sinae, 25 of the currently active cases are admitted to critical care centers.
