Economic Culture Fund, without increase in PPEF 2026

The amount proposed by the Ministry of Finance and Public Credit (SHCP) to the Legislative for the FCE is barely superior to the resources delivered in the year. It is also necessary to point out that, despite the intention from the previous administration to disappear the educational network to integrate it into the FCE, the bookstores network continues to appear within the breakdown of entities dependent on branch 11.

The amount allocated for educational towards the year 2026 is only 33.7 MDP, which would most likely be integrated into the budget for the FCE for the FCE, since, in practice, both instances are already integrated.

Now, it is wise to explain that the Parastatal Editorial FCE is not only supported by the public resources delivered via the PEF of each year. These resources are added to self -generated amounts annually.

Forecasts for Colmex and Canal Once

On the other hand, a budget of 819.3 MDP is raised for the College of Mexico, which in real terms would leave the educational institution with a budget capacity similar to the exercise of the year that runs.

From Ramo 11 a budget forecast for the Once TV channel, of the National Polytechnic Institute (IPN) is also allocated. For the Polytechnic television, the Treasury proposes a sum of 551.3 MDP, which represents a reduction in real terms of 14.6%, since by 2025 the PEF delivered 616 million pesos. If such as such, channel 11 would have its second consecutive year with reductions, since, in the exercise of 2024, the station had 634.1 million.

For indigenous languages

On the other hand, in the breakdown proposed by the Treasury for 2026 for Branch 11, the University of the Indigenous Languages of Mexico (ULIM) also appears, which was created by Presidential Decree in 2023 and for which, by 2026 12.3 MDP are allocated, which, if approved as such, would in its entirety they would be allocated for the payment of personal services.

However, it is necessary to point out that this university is administered by the National Institute of Indigenous Peoples (INPI), which appears in Ramo 47, non -sectorized entities, and for which 5,051.8 MDP are proposed, a figure in real terms similar to that designated in the current year.
