Embraer announced on Wednesday that it received from Avelo Airlines, an airline based in the United States, a firm purchase order of 50 E195-E2 jets. The order value is $ 4.4 billion. The US company also expressed interest in another 50 aircraft of the same model, which may cause the order to total 100 Jets E195-E2.
Havel will be the first US airline to operate Embraer’s largest and most advanced commercial aircraft. Currently, the company operates with Boeing 737ngs aircraft. The deliveries of the new aircraft will start scheduled for the first half of 2027.
According to Embraer, the improved performance of takeoffs on short tracks of the E195-E2, the aircraft range, fuel consumption efficiency and low noise level make the ideal model for expanding the Avelo air mesh.
“The E195-E2 is a watershed for airlines who want to grow profitably as they raise passengers’ experience,” said Embraer Commercial Aviation President and CEO Arjan Meijer.
“Havel is complementing its aircraft fleet narrowbody [que têm um único corredor central dentro da fuselagem] with the E195-E2, leader in its category. Its extremely efficient fuel consumption, its silent operation and the ability to operate on short tracks will allow new markets to open, ”he added.
Embraer products were included in the US tariff of 50% of Brazil. However, the Manufacturer got rid of taxation at the end of Julywhen the US government announced a list of about 700 products considered exceptions, which included aircraft, engines, parts and aviation components.
