The Airport Department (DA) today announced the start of the works corresponding to the asphalting process of the landing floor of the El Granero del Sur domestic airportin the province of San Juan, as established in the schedule of the work.

The institution explains that the process began more than a week ago, with the first step, which is liquid asphalt or primer.

However, I point out that the last days San Juan has received an important amount of rains, which have hindered progress, having to develop work such as cement stabilization of some affected areas, and then continue the process with the track, shooting street and the parking platform.

After the asphalt primer, used to create a waterproof layer and improve the adhesion between the surface of the road and the asphalt rolling layer, it will proceed with the placement of the rolling layer and in a last stage, with the signage and lighting, among others.

While, the gray structure that will house the air terminal is ready for mezzanine emptying.

Similarly, progress is also being made in the construction of the barracks where the Air Force will work.
