A review of the “social agreements” will be made to cover the entire country, said Minister Lucía Etcheverry.
During the previous government, who was Minister of Transportation and Public Works (MTOP), José Luis Falero granted various credits in the Department of Colonia that contributed to improving infrastructure of institutions. In this period of government, who occupies that portfolio, Lucía Etcheverry said that the agreements will continue to be granted because “they have been for several decades”, with the difference that a review will be made, he told El Eco.
When asked what this “review” consists of that the intention to achieve “a more equitable distribution of resources, because in the previous period, almost 50% of the agreements were concentrated in only three departments: Colonia, Florida and San José, while others, such as Rivera, received very few.”
The new management “will prioritize early childhood, adolescence, disability, health and sports, guaranteeing a better distribution of citizen funds,” said the minister.
