The President of the Republic, Dina Boluarte, He headed on Monday the delivery of the second lot of 1,500 ARAP-5 rifles for the National Police.
The president said that this endowment marks a “substantial” advance in institutional modernization and in the safety of the troops.
“Today, with this second lot of 1,500 ARAP-5 rifles, we take a substantial step in the institutional modernization of our police,” he said during his speech at the headquarters of the Ministry of Interior (Mininter).
As he explained, the objective is to provide the most efficient tools agents to face the threats of organized crime, which remains one of the main challenges of citizen security.
This armament is part of a progressive equipment plan that seeks to strengthen the PNP response capacity in high -risk operations and guarantee population safety.
