“This is a pact for youth. We are getting the LinkedIn application and the Government to launch this program so that the 200,000 vacancies that we currently have available through this platform that uses artificial intelligence can be filled in the next 120 days. That will undoubtedly be in exercises of the ethical use of AI”, President Duque commented.

Likewise, during the event, the president stressed that the country will not be left behind in terms of digitization and that they have been working to be a benchmark in Latin America and the Caribbean in Artificial Intelligence, Internet of Things, ‘machine learning’ and cybersecurity, all based on compliance with an ethical framework.
“We are not going to be left behind but we are going to play an important role in Latin America and the Caribbean. Colombia has decided to go down the digital path (…) What does ethics have to do with public policies, because we cannot leave this to free will and we have to be respectful and careful with information. No development in AI can override our rights and freedoms”, highlighted the president.
