The Minister of Tourism and Sports of Salta, Mario Peña, highlighted on Wednesday the importance of the announcement of three weekly flights from Aerolineas Argentinas to the city of San Pablo, Brazil, because, he said, “they allow the province to be linked to one of the largest in the world” and “have a window open to the world.
In statements to Télam Radio, Peña was enthusiastic “with this new air route to Brazil”, which was announced on Tuesday, and which represents “linking the province of Salta with one of the largest economies in the world, and with a city that It has almost 35 or 40 million inhabitants”.
Pena maintained that the Brazilian market “loves our province, greatly enjoys the city of Salta, the Wine Route”and said that these new flights represent “a completely different entrance to Argentina through the north of the country.”
After qualifying progress in connectivity as “great news,” Peña said that these flights “open Salta to the world via São Paulo and the world to Salta” due to the connectivity to different continents of that Brazilian city.
“All this in engineering and marketing structure, and especially travel agents and possible packages to put together, is one more possibility, and that possibility for us is enormous,” he remarked.
The provincial official said that it is “impressive what is beginning to shoot up in the sense of what everyone can get to take advantage of that route and everything that can be generated at the destination.”
In that sense, he recognized the work of the Ministry team under his charge, the work with the private sector, the political decision of Governor Gustavo Sáenz, the accompaniment of the Nation, and “the federal gaze that the Minister of Tourism and Sports, Matías Lammens”.
On the other hand, he referred to the presentation made this Wednesday of the VII edition of the Challenge of the Cloudsthe mountain bike race that will take place in June, and that brings together more than a thousand participants from the country and abroad.
“It is a very traditional race for us that is taking on another size as well, and for the first time, after 7 years that it usually takes place only in one municipality of the city of Salta, in this edition it involves three municipalities of our province”, concluded.
