The National Water Authority (ANA), an entity attached to the Ministry of Agrarian Development and Irrigation (Midagri), presented an action plan aimed at preventing eventual overflows from the Crossing Lagoon, located in the province of Jauja.

The Plan was exposed at a technical table presided by the Junín Regional Government, with the participation of the PCM, Agorural, the Regional Directorate of Agriculture (DRAJ) and other institutions. The immediate actions include the evacuation of water of the lagoon to reduce the stored volume and allow the cleanliness and collapse of the Sumidero Millpún, obstructed since the last period of rainfall.

As medium -term measures, the ANA recommended a batimetric study of the Laguna, an integral diagnosis of water resources in the Yanamarca River basin, as well as the installation of flow measurement systems and levels. These actions seek to mitigate future impacts in communities such as Chocón, Pachascucho, Marco, Tunanmarca, Muquillanqui and Tragadero, which were already affected by floods.
