On Monday night they registered two attacks with explosives that impacted the railroad of the carboniferous complex Cerrejónin the department of La Guajira. According to the police, the detonations occurred in the kilometers 67 and 40both sections located in the strip that connects the mine with Puerto Bolívar, key route for the transport of coal to export.
Neighbors of indigenous communities near the affected sectors (Cuatro Roads, Maicao, and near the old toll of Uribia) alerted the authorities when they heard the violent explosions that also caused damage to coal transport equipment, according to information from the station ‘Blu Radio’.

Following the incident, The area was immediate and completely militarized, which reflects the severity perceived by the authorities. Police, after receiving the Cerrejón report, began the relevant investigations.
