It started operating this Monday (8), in channel 6 of the digital sign of the city of Caruaru (PE), Pref TV. The broadcaster becomes the youngest associated with National Public Communication Network (RNCP)led by Brazil Communication Company (EBC).
Pref TV was already a partner of EBC When it worked only on Youtube – having participated in the transmissions of Arraiá Brasil 2025, which took the entire country the June festivities from various locations. With the transmission now in digital open signal, the residents of Agreste Pernambuco will have access to the programming of TV Brazil and also from GOVEducation channel and health channel.
The structure for the transmission of the channels was made possible by the Brazil Digital Program, of the Ministry of Communications, which finances the expansion of the public television network within the new Government of Brazil Growth Acceleration Program (PAC).
The city of Caruaru is one of the first 30 cities in the country where transmitters were installed for public TVs. Currently, the National Public Communication Network (RNCP)led by EBChas 167 associated TV stations, in 2,535 municipalities, and 165 radio stations, in 111 municipalities.
“The structure we are inaugurating aims to bring information and culture to all residents. The Brazil Digital Program was born from the government’s commitment to leave the state closer to people, accounting for and showing its services, so that public policies are used by the population,” said Communications Minister Frederico de Siqueira Filho. According to him, “the strengthening of public communication is a legacy that we leave to the country.”
State Representative Rosa Amorim greeted the increase in federal government investments in the expansion of signs of public broadcasters. “We are in a moment of resumption of investments in public communication in our country,” he said. “If we want to build a sovereign country, we also have to build public and sovereign communication,” he recalled.

Also attending the ceremony of transmissions were the mayor of the City Council, Bruno Lambreta; the mayor of Caruru, Rodrigo Pinheiro; Federal Representative Fernando Monteiro and CEO of TV Pernambuco, Fulvio Wagner.
